Conclusion of Call for Tenders for New Courthouse in Breda

The call for tenders for the new Courthouse in Breda was concluded on 12 May 2015. A public-private partnership (PPP) was launched with the signature of the DBFMO agreement between the Central Government Real Estate Agency and the building consortium InBalans. The consortium InBalans comprises VolkerWessels, Facilicom, Macquarie Capital Group. The cooperation between the Central Government Real Estate Agency and the consortium focuses on new accommodation and facilities for the Court of Zeeland-West-Brabant, the district court public prosecutors office for Zeeland-West-Brabant, and the Child Care and Protection Board for the south-west region of the Netherlands.

At the centre of this assignment is the aim to create an appealing and modern building; a cohesive whole, housing three separate, recognizable organizations; authoritative yet at the same time accessible and in a safe environment. The building will be constructed on the corner of Belcrumweg/Stationslaan, close to Bredas railway station. The new Courthouse is expected to open in 2018.
