Earlier this year karres+brands won the tender for the design of the new Amersfoort Central Station Square with a vision focusing on strengthening the relation with the inner-city, a robust public space and a participatory design process. In the near future, an underground bike shelter will free up the public space, making more room for pedestrians. We will be working closely with the municipality as well as with ProRail, NS, Movares and stakeholders from the area to ensure that the new public space becomes the lively public stage Amersfoort deserves.
